Glynda Pearl Jones-Nelson

BALTIMORE, MD: Glynda Pearl Jones Nelson, passed away March 12, 2012, at her residence in Baltimore, MD after an extended illness. She was a native of Bulloch County, but spent most of her adult life in Baltimore. She was the daughter of the late Deacon Miles Albert and Mrs. Mittie Ann Russell-Jones.

She is survived by one son, Reginald Nelson, Baltimore, two daughters, Janet Nelson-Douglas of Baltimore, Maryland and Anita Nelson-Sherron of Woodbridge, Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Nelson; two sons-in-law, Charles Douglas and Lee Sherron; seven grandchildren, Latoya and Alexander Sherron, David and Jennae Cofield, Charles Douglas Jr., and Shannon and Shelby Nelson; her sister, Barbara Jones, Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. They all share, in part, moments of Pearl’s life and their love for her is bound in their hearts.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Historical First African Baptist Church with Rev. Timothy Lee, Eulogist. Rev. E. Charles Lee is the pastor. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday evening from 4-5:45 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
